A binding made to drain
Veyr is not one of the original keepers. It is chained to the Island Heart, feeding on the currents that reach it. Elio recognizes the binding but cannot identify its maker, leaving another question beyond the immediate rescue.
The encounter
Defeat Veyr's bound creatures before facing it. Its attack pattern uses three marked strikes alongside the Heart's waves and shelter. When Veyr falls, the Heart's anchor bindings release and the core can be purified.

This encounter takes place in the underground Heart chamber. The map marker identifies the surface entrance to the waterworks, not the boss's underground coordinates. Progress through the chambers to reach the encounter.
